AGS Tree Services is a family business built on one principle — do the job right, treat people with respect, and stand behind your work. Meet the team that has been protecting properties and trees across the Gulf Coast for over 15 years.
AGS Tree Services was founded in 2009 by Alfredo Guilamo, a certified arborist who believed that tree care in the Gulf Coast deserved a higher standard — one built on technical knowledge, honest pricing, and showing up when people need you most.
What started as a local operation serving the Baton Rouge area grew steadily over the years, expanding into Houston and Monroe as word spread about the quality of the work and the integrity of the team. Today, Alfredo Jr. works alongside his father, carrying the same values into a new generation of leadership.
We are not a franchise. We are not a call center dispatching anonymous crews. When you call AGS, you reach a person who knows the business personally — and when the crew arrives, it is our team, our equipment, and our reputation on the line.
Alfredo Guilamo launches AGS Tree Services in Baton Rouge, focusing on residential tree care with ISA-certified standards from day one.
Growing demand and a strong reputation bring AGS to the Houston market — adding a second service region and a dedicated crew.
AGS invests in its own crane fleet, eliminating subcontracting and enabling precision removals that no competitor in the region could match.
North Louisiana expansion brings AGS to Monroe and surrounding parishes, completing the three-region coverage that serves the Gulf Coast today.
Alfredo Jr. joins the business full-time, bringing new energy and continuity to a company built on family values.
Alfredo Guilamo · Founder
“We treat every tree like it matters — because to someone, it does.”When you work with AGS, you work with family. These are the people who answer the phone, plan the jobs, and stand behind every project.
With over 15 years in the tree care industry, Alfredo founded AGS on a simple belief — the Gulf Coast deserved certified, honest, professional tree care. He is an ISA-certified arborist who personally oversees the most complex jobs and sets the quality standard for every crew in the field.
Born and raised in Louisiana, Alfredo knows the region’s trees, its storms, and the responsibility that comes with protecting families’ homes and properties.
Alfredo Jr. grew up watching his father build AGS from the ground up — learning the trade from job sites before boardrooms. He joined the business full-time in 2024, taking charge of daily operations, crew coordination, and client relations across all three service regions.
He brings the energy of a new generation to a company with deep roots — combining modern scheduling and communication with the hands-on expertise that has always defined AGS.
These are not marketing words. They are the principles that guide every decision we make on every job.
Every job starts with a safety assessment. No schedule pressure, no client expectation ever overrides the safety of our crew, your family, or your property.
ISA certification is not a marketing badge — it means every cut we make follows science-based arboriculture standards. We know trees, not just chainsaws.
When you call AGS, you reach people who have their name and reputation on the line. We are not a franchise — we are a family business that does not cut corners.
We will tell you when a tree does not need to come down. We would rather earn your trust with an honest answer than a sale that is not in your interest.
We finish what we start. Every job includes full cleanup, debris removal, and a final walkthrough. We do not consider a job done until you are satisfied.
We remove trees when necessary and preserve them when possible. Every tree we touch gets the care it deserves — whether we are trimming it or taking it down.
Every credential we carry represents real training, real testing, and real accountability.

Our cranes handle large-tree removals near structures with zero uncontrolled drops — owned and operated by AGS, not subcontracted.
Aerial access for tall trees and utility-line proximity work — giving our arborists reach and positioning that ground-based rigging cannot match.
Industrial-capacity chippers process all tree debris on-site — branches, crowns, and trunk sections turned into chips and hauled away the same day.
Full haul-away capability — every debris load removed from your property so you never have to deal with a pile of wood after we leave.
Compact and full-size stump grinders that can access narrow side yards, reach stumps near fences, and grind to 12 inches below grade.
ISA-rated climbing systems, rigging blocks, and slings — inspected before every job and replaced on schedule, not when they fail.
Same family ownership, same certified crew standards, same quality of work — whether you are in Baton Rouge, Houston, or Monroe.
